Phantom Regiment to host second annual hands on clinic in conjunction with the Southern Association for the Performance Arts
On December 1st, the Phantom Regiment Winter Guard will present their second annual clinic for area high school students. This year, the winter guard has teamed up with The Southern Association for the Performance Arts to present a comprehensive educational clinic for instructors and students alike. Attendees of this monumental event will have the opportunity to participate in design and technique classes taught by Shirley Dorritie, Beverly Brahan, Daniel Wiles, Rodney Bailey (SAPA President), and Phantom Regiment’s own Adam Sage. Shirley and Beverly have both been long time WGI judges, and Daniel is the director of the perennial WGI Finalist program at Avon High School.
The clinic is a great way for high school students to learn and work alongside their peers from other schools and create life-long friends and fans to cheer for one another throughout the season. The experience also provides a chance to meet and interact with performers and educators in the activity. At the end of the day, there will be an opportunity for interested units to perform an exhibition for each other and receive valuable feedback on their production from the guest clinicians. You may even be able to get a sneak peak of the Phantom Regiment Winter Guards 2008 production.
