Nichole Ely Memorial Scholarship Fund
Nichole "Nikki" Ely marched in Phantom Regiment's color guard from 1988-95. The Pekin, Ill., native earned a spot in the color guard as a 14-year-old and eventually would become the guard's C.O.
Nikki, who had been living in Miami, died at the young age of 33 due to head injuries sustained while vacationing at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla.
A scholarship fund was started in 2007 to keep Nikki’s memory alive as drum corps and the Phantom Regiment meant so much to her. You can make donation via the online button below, or by check. Please come to the third annual scholarship fundraiser for Nikki Ely. Come to a three hour happy hour -- for $30, you get unlimited drinks - including domestic beer, house wines and soda/pop. A large percentage of the ticket price will go to the scholarship. We will have one of the landings reserved for us in the back. Please bring spouses, significant others, friends and colleagues for this great cause. Don't forget to tip your bartenders because service is not included. You can order food as well.
Even if you can't make it or don't want to drink, you can still donate to the scholarship. We will collect checks at the party. Please make checks payable to Phantom Regiment and put Nikki Ely on the note line.
