Wednesday, July 19 (Josh's Journal - 2006)
So I thought that yesterday was, "The Suck." I was wrong - Louisiana is "The Suck." I have nothing against the south, but it's just so hot. Today we were in West Monroe and it was the hottest day I've experienced since 2003. I don't know what the temperature was, but it was almost as hot as Phoenix 2003. Rehearsal outside was cut short and we had sectionals inside for a little bit. The only good thing about all the hot weather today is that I had a lot of energy for the show tonight. But for whatever reason, it was really hot during the day, and then at about 6 P.M. it rained for about 10 minutes. It cooled off to about 72 degrees and we had nice weather for the show. Tonight was a good night, though. Mike Hester and I broke in our new Flash Flight. It's green and it rocks. But for some reason, Cathy Ondek punched me in the head. Boo Cathy Ondek. Not just in the head either, it was in the ear. IN THE EAR! I didn't do anything to her. She was just trying to steal a Frisbee pass and ended up punching me in the ear. Boo times two. Other than that the new green Flash Flight was broken in properly tonight.
Brunch: Waffles, French toast, popcorn chicken, yogurt, sausage, and assorted breakfast items as usual
Linner: Turkey, mashed potatoes, and carrot cake
Shower score: Low Box 4, finally. Good pressure, good temperature, but only five shower heads.
Show score: 87.4
QOTD: "Roastin'!" This is a throwback quote from last summer. Drew Solomonson (Drew's Diary) used to say that when it was really hot outside. And today it was really hot.
RMOTD: It was hot. And then, it was hot some more. Then we went inside for sectional rehearsal.
Shout out: Jeremy Figlewicz says hi to his sister, Jessi. "Hi, love and miss you sis."
Well, at least we knew that everyone had to deal with the heat of Louisiana today. And finally, we're on our way to Texas. That's either a good thing or a bad thing - I'll let you know when we get there. But for the next few days everyone's going to deal with the Texas heat. See you there.
